Every Day in Our Teams, We Practice “Work with Respect”
In my current department, I have colleagues of all ages – from people in their 20s to those in their 60s – and it’s really encouraging to see how this variety in our ages helps us learn from each other. I particularly appreciate how my team members carefully listen to each person’s opinion, regardless of their age. “Work with Respect,” one of LIXIL Behaviors, becomes the foundation, making sure we respect each other’s perspective, have deep discussions, and come together as a team.
Sales Was Full of Experience-based, On-the-ground Learnings
I chose Sales as my first choice when I joined the company, because with my social sciences background, it was the only way I could be directly involved in dealing with our products. During my days of working directly in Sales, there were various challenges, but they taught me valuable lessons that were only possible through on-the-ground experience. I truly feel that our customers helped me grow. What I learnt from clients, as well as senior colleagues has been a great asset to my career. It’s vital for us to be able to compare the data we have with real-life observations, and being able to do this in my current role makes my work feel even more meaningful.
Building Trust, and Working with Pride
The experience of proposing LIXIL products to customers as a sales representative was very valuable for me. As I kept suggesting our products, my own attachment to them continued to grow as well, and I was able to guide customers better. I was able to help them discover the attractive points and specialties of LIXIL products, and seeing their happy faces after they made their purchase was a moment I cherished, as I felt proud to work for LIXIL. The sense of fulfillment I felt at that time continues to be my driving force today.
LIXIL Checks All My Boxes - Manufacturing, Sanitation, and Social Impact
Sanitation and manufacturing had been the keywords I had when I was job hunting. During my university days, I had joined a volunteering trip to Vietnam, which made me realize the importance of sanitation in society and how it affects the environment.
So, when I started looking for a job, I was very attracted to product sales, how it affected not only the profits of the company, but also had an impact on the society, as well as on the individual buyer’s quality of life and happiness. Since my work is aligned with these personal values, I feel joy in working even when taking on challenging tasks, and feel proud of being part of LIXIL.
