Today, the world is still not on track to reach the UN SDGs Goal 6 by 2030. The scale of the challenges is staggering: roughly 3.5 billion people are without safely managed sanitation, 2 billion have no basic handwashing facilities, and 2.2 billion lack access to safe drinking water.
