    LIXIL Corporation (“LIXIL”, TSE Code: 5938), maker of pioneering water and housing products, today announced a change within its executive leadership team. Shoko Kimijima, who has been serving as Executive Officer, Executive Vice President, and Chief Legal and Compliance Officer (CLCO), will step down from the current executive role and leave the company at the end of March to pursue new opportunities. Effective April 1, 2025, Hirofumi Koizumi, currently Leader of Global Legal, will be appointed Senior Vice President (SVP) and CLCO.

    Since being appointed to the role in 2020, Shoko Kimijima has been instrumental in strengthening LIXIL’s corporate governance and reshaping the Legal, Compliance, Risk Management and Corporate Audit teams, establishing global best practices internally. Her leadership has significantly enhanced the agility and resilience of the company’s Legal function.

    Hiro Koizumi joined LIXIL in 2015 with extensive experience and a proven track record in global M&A transactions. He led Japan and Corporate Legal Operations before being promoted to Leader of Global Legal in 2022, broadening his remit to oversee legal for the company's international business initiatives and operations.
