Scaling its Global Housing Solutions Footprint
Strategic expansion driven by newly established “LHT Global” organization to accelerate international growth and meet surging demand
TOKYO — LIXIL Corporation (“LIXIL”, TSE Code: 5938), maker of pioneering water and housing products, today announced a major expansion of its manufacturing footprint with a new window manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, India. Spanning 500,000 square feet and slated to commence operations in 2028, the new plant will substantially boost LIXIL’s local production capabilities in India—aligning with the Indian government’s "Make in India" initiative while establishing a highly responsive, localized supply chain. Complemented by LIXIL’s existing window manufacturing plant in IMT Manesar, Haryana, the new facility will enable LIXIL to meet rising domestic demand for pre-engineered aluminum window systems and sliding door profiles, affirming India as a key strategic growth hub for the region.
“India is a key strategic growth hub for the global expansion of LIXIL’s housing technology business, serving as a clear proof point of our strategy in action. By combining our advanced technology and products with localized operational strength, we are positioned to accelerate our momentum across Asia and beyond, fulfilling our purpose to make better homes a reality for everyone, everywhere,” said Kinya Seto, CEO of LIXIL.

To further expand LHT’s global footprint across key strategic markets and accelerate its growth momentum, the company has established a dedicated overarching organization, “LHT Global,” led directly by Satoshi Yoshida, Executive Officer of LIXIL Housing Technology (LHT).
Building on LHT’s established expertise and market leadership in Japan as well as its initial housing business footprint in Asia, LHT Global will look to rapidly scale its diverse product portfolio across broader international markets, including North America, Australia, and the Middle East. This encompasses LIXIL’s high-performance windows and doors, alongside innovative circular material solutions such as PremiAL and revia.
In India, LIXIL will focus on scaling its proprietary “Windows in the Box” concept under the TOSTEM brand–a streamlined supply model that delivers precision-engineered, ready-to-assemble window kits directly to sites, eliminating complex local fabrication while guaranteeing Japanese quality. Alongside expanding its core TOSTEM window lines, LIXIL also plans to progressively introduce its circular material solutions to meet the rising demand for low-carbon, energy-efficient building solutions.
